I find this pop up in particular brilliant for capturing email addresses.  When someone goes to leave my site a pop up to one of my lead magnets comes up.  Go on, try to leave and see my latest pop up!  

Other times I use the exit pop ups to show current offers or promotions.

Exit pop ups not only reduce bounce rates by giving visitors a reason to stick around, they turn some of that leaking traffic into a lead or customer
